Product Description This is the ECOBags 10 oz. recycled cotton canvas tote bag, manufactured with recycled cotton fibers. Generously sized; 19 (inches) wide x 15.5 high, with a full 7.5 bottom gusset and over-the-shoulder 22 inch straps for easy carrying. Double stiched on all seams for durability. Made in India under the Fair Trade Fair Labor Policy. The average plastic bag takes 125 years to degrade. There are over 100 billion plastic shopping bags used in the United States each year. Less than 1% are recycled. Why not use a bag that you can use over and over again?

Glad I made the purchase... July 21, 2008 This is a great shopping bag. Purchased four, but so far have only ever filled three in one shopping trip. They are plenty roomy, and the canvas is sturdy as are the handles. I also love that one bag holds what about three plastic shopping bags used to ... not only am I reducing the need for using those plastic bags, but it's a whole lot easier to bring the groceries in from the car!
Love them! June 4, 2008 I don't normally leave reviews for items, but I absolutely love these bags. They are large enough that I was able to fit one gallon of milk, one gallon of juice, plus some small fruits and snacks in one bag! Like if that wasn't enough, the bag was sturdy enough that I was able to hold it by the handles without any concern of it falling apart. I purchased 4 and that has been sufficient enough for all my groceries (family of 4). My only problem now is remembering to bring them inside the store with me all the time...
Eco-friendly shopping bags April 12, 2008 This is a terrific product. I bought four of them to use primarily for grocery shopping, and every time I use them, someone comments favorably about them. They are roomy, (the largest I could find online) and sturdy and well-made. And I love that they're Fair Price, Fair Trade. It makes me feel that I'm doing something for those who make them as well as a positive mark on the environment. I recommend them heartily to anyone concerned with the planet who loves to find a product that's everything the manufacturers claim it to be!
Large capacity and strong February 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two of these bags and they're so large and strong that they can usually hold everything I buy, even on my larger shopping trips. They're really handy and now that I have them I realize just how many plastic bags I was throing away and the fair wage/fair labor/ recycled cotton is really worth paying a little bit more for.
